2025 Frozen Creek Runner-Ups

This weekend, the Varsity Prowlers skated to a 2nd place finish at the 29th Annual Frozen Creek Tournament in Beavercreek, Ohio.

The team finished with a 2-2 record overall, highlighted by a 10-0 shutout over the Cincinnati Cyclones and a tight 3-2 win against the Troy Trojans. The Prowlers advanced to the championship game for a hard battle against Lake High School, ultimately falling 1-3 in a competitive final matchup.

The tournament also featured two major player milestones. Junior goaltender Mason Brehm (#7) earned his first Prowler win in the victory over Troy, while freshman forward Chandler Young (#49) scored his first Prowler goal during the shutout against Cincinnati; giving the Prowlers a huge boost throughout the weekend.

Despite the loss in the championship, the team showed resilience and mental toughness that will carry into the upcoming week. Varsity will return to the ice on December 6th at 7:40 PM to face Troy once again at The Easton Chiller, followed by a league matchup against Dayton Silver on December 7th at 5:30 PM, also at Chiller Easton.
